PRIMUS PHOENIX PARK FOREST SCHOOL LEARNING AND CURRICULUM IN BRIEF
Our Forest School Learning
It is our aim for every Primus child to become a confident, fulfilled individual with the tools to contribute positively to society. Every child has a unique potential for achievement, and we provide a stimulating and ordered learning environment with the facilities and ethos to instruct, encourage and inspire children to discover and develop their own talents and to become life-long learners.
The Forest School learning approach supports the children’s holistic development; social emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual. Safety is of utmost importance to us.

Social
Children in Forest School work and play together independently, in pairs and groups. They exchange ideas and get involved, developing their communication skills.
Emotional
Our Forest School activities are designed to facilitate children as they grow to become more empathetic, mindful, motivated and develop a more conscious self-control.

Spiritual
Spending time to be mindful and express our gratitude, children who participate in Forest Schools are known to be more relaxed and self aware. They grow an underlying appreciation for the beauty of nature.
Physical
Our Forest School provides opportunities to walk, run, jump, climb, balance, hide and move our bodies in a multitude of ways in a green, natural environment. The children develop fine and gross motor skills while they play, explore, discover, make and do.

Intellectual
Children practice intellectual skills like designing and building structures, playing through imagination, decision making, and problem-solving while in Forest School.
Our Forest School Learning

The Primus Way

Our teachers ignite children’s interest in numeracy and science and encourage them to explore, developing key life skills and a strong foundation for their learning and development. Our programme builds a strong foundation by introducing different concepts, insights and an appreciation for math and science through explorative and experimental learning to get children curious and excited to learn.

Our Safety
Safety is of utmost importance to us. Children respond to clear boundaries and consequences. Safety rules are established and will be strictly enforced for all our activities. Our facilities are regularly maintained to make sure that the environment is safe and secure for students.
We also ensure students are aware and follow the rules by reviewing the safety measures regularly. A strong safety ethic is non-negotiable.
